Successful Community Clean-up

We love working with our Sustainability Leaders and students at Delran Township Public Schools and Councilman Tyler Burrell. On April 6, 2018 students at Millbridge School, Delran Intermediate School, Delran Middle School and Delran High School participated in a community clean-up. They collected 83 bags of trash and 16 bags of recyclables. Before starting out the students received a safety orientation. Many of the students are active in their school’s Green Team. They are our future. Here’s a link  for the full story.

Community Forestry Plan

The Delran Green Team has developed a Community Forestry Plan for Delran Township with funding provided by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.  At the April 3 public meeting, we are hoping that Council passes a resolution so that the Plan can be submitted to the State.  Having an adopted Plan allows Delran to apply for grant funding to removal storm damaged trees and plant new trees.  Our first action, will be creating an inventory at each of our parks and playgrounds.  If you are interested, send an email and we’ll let you know when we get started.
