Municipal Green Team and School Green Team work together to tackle an environmental problem

Did you see the story in the April Edition of the Positive Press?  The Delran School Green Team received a $10,000 grant from Sustainable Jersey to address the drainage problem at Millbridge Elementary School on Conrow Road.  Roof runoff has been causing puddling on the blacktop which takes away precious recess and outdoor activity time.  This grant will be used to install a 8000 gallon capacity raingarden.  Members of the Delran Municipal Green Team, the Burlington County Master Gardens and Millbridge PTA will help the 800 students plant the raingarden with native plant species.  Here’s a before shot.  Can’t wait to see the after .  Municipal Green Team members will be showing parents the RainGarden at Millbridge Art Nights – April 19th and 20th.
