Outdoor air pollution is caused by small particles and ground level ozone that comes from car exhaust, smoke, road dust and factory emissions. Outdoor air pollution can worsen chronic respiratory diseases, such as asthma. Bill Curzie, Chairman of the Delran Green Team and president of Rutgers Environmental Stewards Alumni Association will talk to residents about outdoor air quality and the primary cause of outdoor air pollution caused by auto emissions and excessive idling. He will share information on regional and local air quality problems and what we can do to improve conditions.
This program was originally scheduled for August 11 but cancelled due to thunderstorms. Join us for our final Green Learning Campfire at 7:30pm Tuesday August 25 at the campfire at the Methodist Church on Conrow Road. Bring a chair and bugspray.
